Mascarpone and Strawberry Braid

Hello everyone!

Today's recipe is, once again, made with strawberries. By now you must know how much I love them. Its flavor, the slightly tartness of it, and the fact that you can combine them with pretty much anything make them, in my opinion, a great fruit.

This one is a combination that I had not used before. I only have used Mascarpone Cheese to make tiramisu. But you seriously need to try this. The sweetness of the baked strawberries, the flakiness of the homemade puff pastry and the cheese combine perfectly well.

Can you see the layers of the puff pastry? If you have time, do the puff pastry yourselves, it's worth it!

Walnut and Brie Buns

Hello everyone!

Today's recipe is not a dessert (weird, I know). There's not a perfect timing for these Walnut and Brie Buns, however, I would say that you can eat them whenever you please!

One piece of advice, though. Eat them warm. The melted cheese inside is so good, and combined with the walnuts ends up being just perfect.

They are not difficult to do- I must say that it's only my second time attempting to do something like that- and although you need to have some patience, the results are definitely worth it.

Plum and Lavender Jam + "Tapa"

Hello everyone!

Last Saturday I found myself in possession of various kilograms of "Greengage" plums. As it turns out, a branch of one of the trees in our orchard fell down and we found ourselves with two big crates of plums that weren't ripe enough to eat.

They ended up divided among all my family and my mum, my grandma and I made jam with them, everyone by herself. Today's recipe is similar to how they use to do it, with a twist.

I investigated a little bit in Pinterest and, although they did not usually use this particular type of plum, there were a lot of recipes with golden and purple plums. Some of those were spiced with some kind of herb. So taking tips from different sites and with my mum's base recipe, here it comes:

Mini Cheesecake

Hello everyone!

Today's recipe is the one that my friends are always begging me to make. It's easy, delicious and always triumphs!

That's right, it's cheesecake!

Truth is that it's always a good moment for cheesecake, either as a dessert or for a mid-afternoon snack or, well, because it is cheesecake and you don't really need an excuse...

The recipe for cheesecake is pretty well known but this one is from a book called "Delicias al Horno" and after a few changes, here it is:

Cheese and Oregano Buns

Hello everyone!
Sorry about the delay, I know I should have uploaded sooner but, anyway, here it is.

Today I'm bringing a really delicious cheesy bun recipe. It's the first time that I make anything related with bread or fresh yeast and I must say that, although it is more difficult to do than cupcakes or cakes (hey, at least for me!) it is soooo worth it.

You should eat them hot to enjoy the melted cheese inside!

I got the recipe from Mi gran diversión's blog (in Spanish) and my only modification is that I had to leave off the garlic (not because I wanted to, I just did not have any at the moment).
